PM Storybooks Update Progress
Friday, 11 December 2009
We have made very encouraging progress in updating PM Storybooks to be Windows 7 compliant, and hope to be able to offer an upgrade strategy before school returns in the new year.

Windows 7 has landed...
Monday, 30 November 2009
...and in the process has squashed some of our more venerable titles. Both Fitzroy Readers and PM Storybooks are 16-bit programs will not run under Windows 7 as its 16-bit support is somewhere between poor and nonexistent.

Fortunately, we're close to releasing a new version of the Fitzroy Readers which will be Windows 7 compliant and we are also looking at ways to get PM Storybooks playing happily with Windows 7.

In the meantime, if you are upgrading your computers to Windows 7 and need to continue using these titles, we will be offering update schemes as soon as possible. Register your interest here if you want to be notified of updates.

Also, you can keep abreast of all our Windows 7 testing at our Technical Support page.

Greygum Software proudly announces the latest in the enormously popular Maths Circus series.

Act 6 continues the tradition of engrossing and original puzzles which engage students and encourage an abiding interest in practical mathematics.

Build a bridge, fly a balloon, mow a lawn. Twelve puzzles each with ten levels of difficulty present challenges to children of all ages.

Teachers around the world have praised Maths Circus for the way it encourages children to take risks when solving problems, for its ease of use and for the confidence it inspires in children to tackle challenges they thought they couldn't handle.

Greygum in Papua New Guinea
Monday, 12 November 2007

Greygum Software supports a school near the end of the Kokoda Trail in Oro Province, PNG.  Each year since 2004, Greygum's David Smith has spent six or seven weeks at the school, under the auspices of the Anglican Board of Mission .

PNG is attempting to improve its secondary education system; currently only about 10% of the population proceed to year 11 and 12, and there is a desperate shortage of experienced teachers in this area.  Martyrs' Memorial School is one of only two schools in the whole of Oro Province to offer years 11 and 12.  Use this link to see a report on David's 2004 visit to the school.
